The 2021 Nissan Kicks

One of the youngest and newest vehicles on the lineup is certainly the Nissan Kicks. It was brought into replace the Nissan Juke back in the 2016 model year, and it has quickly established its place not only on the Nissan lineup but within the incredibly fast-growing and popular subcompact crossover segment. The smallest member of the Nissan family of utility vehicles, it makes an excellent entry-level model and we’re excited to be able to offer it to shoppers here in the Rome GA area. In 2021, the Nissan Kicks features an updated appearance with some aesthetic changes to its exterior. The Nissan Kicks gets styling changes from front to back in 2021. A new front bumper design gives the Kicks a sleeker and more refined appearance from the front end. Its lights are larger in the front as well for extra visibility and enhanced character. The back bumper has a sportier design for 2021, and the front grille is more extended for a more dramatic appearance.

New Subcompact Crossover Available In Rome

Let’s start by talking about all of those changes that have come to the Nissan Kicks at Town Center Nissan this year. There were some design enhancements, but a majority of the upgrades revolve around features and technologies. For example, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard, as it’s a 7” display audio screen. However, you can opt for a larger 8” screen with the SV and SR trim levels. You’ll have the benefit of three standard USB ports within the vehicle, including a new available USB Type-C in the SV and SR trim levels. Plus, there’s a new 7” driver information display within the instrument cluster.

Design changes include a refreshed exterior, with a bold new grille adopting a “Double V-motion” aesthetic front and center, as well as available LED headlights and new wheel designs. The inside has a redesigned center console as well as trim materials and even seats. Finally, you’ll be able to choose from a wide variety of exterior color options, including a few new two-ton combos.

Available Features in the 2021 Kicks
The 2021 Nissan Kicks at Town Center Nissan is produced in three trim levels. First in the series is the S, followed by the SV and the SR. The S is nicely equipped for a base trim. With the S, you will get 16-inch wheels. The S offers an appealing standard technology package consisting of a seven-inch display. Bluetooth is included to start, along with a decent sound system. The base trim seats five with split-folding seats in the back. Cloth upholstery is standard.
An eight-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration comes with the SV trim level. Its exterior gets roof rails and larger wheels. The top trim is the SR. This trim has black side mirrors and is available with a package that offers several two-tone paint colors. The SR has some additional safety amenities and a more luxurious interior with upgraded cloth upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob. This trim comes standard with LED lighting and signature accents for a decorative finish.

What's Under the Hood of the Nissan Kicks?
The mechanical system for the 2021 Nissan Kicks is mostly unchanged from 2020. The base engine for all trims is still a 1.6L with four cylinders. This engine produces about 125 HP and 115 LB-FT in torque. It comes with front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission. A hybrid system is also available that uses a gasoline engine and electric battery to deliver a total of 127 HP.

Technologies to Keep You Safe
A generous safety package is included on the base trim level of the Nissan Kicks. First, you will get a list of safety equipment that includes forward collision mitigation, lane-departure warning, pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, emergency braking for the front and back ends, and parking sensors in the back. The Nissan Kicks also includes cruise control, while you can get a panoramic parking camera by upgrading to the SR trim. Automatic high beams are standard, and the SR adds LED projector beams as well.
